- Many students are fearful of mathematics classes, its very important for a teacher to understand each student's challenge towards math learning. One challenge is of reading and comprehension. As in language, in mathematics too the reading and comprehension skills are crucial.  Many teachers have realised that few children never utilized most of their skills, especially reading and comprehension skills. It is also seen that most students are so stressed about the steps to be written and the operation to be used that they fail to realize that simply reading and understanding the problem will help them actually solve it. And this way they will understand the step to be followed in solving the problem.  While teaching mathematics it is also helpful to relate to real life situations and examples. Mathematics can help to assess multiple skills and abilities in children. Teachers should adopt activity based teaching pedagogy and move out of being a plain and very normal pedagogy....
