With foreign tongue we could produce English speaking labour class but not innovators and intellectuals:

Mother tongue is the language which a child starts hearing after being born and thus, it also helps in providing a definite shape to child's emotions and thoughts. Learning in our mother tongue also is crucial in enhancing other skills such as critical thinking, skills to learn a second language and literacy skills.
Just a thought, think about it; if regional medium/ mother tongue schools are shut down who will know about the torch bearers of the tribe, and great literary work and scientific thoughts.
Help to protect our mother tongue schools either Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, or Urdu. The best education could only be given in mother tongue. This has been extensively researched and approved by UNICEF.
According to UNICEF, countries who teach their children in foreign language like English failed to progress. We could produce English speaking labour class but not innovators and intellectuals. Everyone talk about Finland. Children in Finland, study all the subjects in Finnish, their mother tongue. All the countries, like China, Japan, Germany, Italy, UK, America and Russia who are developed countries teach their students in mother tongue schools.
We can keep one language as English no problem, but teaching in foreign language is harassment and torture to poor children. It is more than physical abuse, often resulting in psychological problems.
