Encouraging natural ways of learning- Alliance for Self Directed Education:

Imagine what would happen if, instead of sending children to conventional schools where their natural ways of learning are curtailed, are given an opportunity and resources to learn in a self directed and fun and curious way.

Self Directed Learning provides them with the resources that would allow their curiosity, playfulness, and other natural ways of learning to flourish.

The Alliance for Self-Directed Education(ASDE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to normalizing and legitimizing Self-Directed Education.

The motivating forces for self directed learning include curiosity, playfulness, and sociability—which promote all sorts of endeavors from which people learn.

Imposed schooling is generally aimed at enhancing conformity rather than uniqueness, and it operates by suppressing, rather than nurturing, the natural drives of curiosity, playfulness, and sociability.
