What is Coding? And why should we learn to code?

  -

Computers and technology have become an integral part of our lives, but what do we know about the little coding that helps to run them?

In this article, we'll be taking a look at what is coding and how will it help and how can you get started with some basic coding concepts for kids.

What is Coding?

Coding is a language that helps computers understand how to do certain tasks. It’s more than just a language though, it’s a way of thinking. Coding is a way for people to communicate with machines and tell them what to do without having to type every little command.

Why should we learn Coding?

Coding is the language of the future. If you want to be an entrepreneur, it can't hurt to learn basic coding skills because you'll need them for any number of tasks such as managing social media or even creating your own website. And if you don't want to become an entrepreneur, there are still plenty of other reasons to place importance on learning basic coding skills.

What should we start with first?

The first thing you want to do is find a language that you like. As a beginner, it might not be the most important thing to figure out at the beginning. What is important, however, is to make sure that the programming language you pick has a lot of information and documentation available for beginners.

Steps to Learning Coding

Learning to code can seem daunting, but there are some easy ways to get started. The first step should be gathering tools that will be helpful for coding. A good place to start is the Unisqo academy coding program. This organization offers very affordable short-term introductory coding sessions for school kids and also for young adults. The tutorials are good to go for beginners, it teaches about HTML, Javascript as a basic level for understanding coding. There are many other good organizations also which teach coding.

After this, you might be interested in learning more, as well as teaching others how to code.

Conclusion

You now know what is programming. You can design and create your own programs and games, and you understand the importance of coding in today's world. There is always more to learn, but this basic knowledge will help you get started right away.

Seven key differences between Parenting in India and Dutch:

In Mumbai, she experiences a "real village" where family, neighbours, and the building community are always available to help. * Independence vs. Interdependence: Dutch culture raises children to be "fierceley independent," such as cycling to school alone at age eight. Indian parenting focuses on interdependence and being part of a larger, supportive system. * Child-Friendly Public Spaces: She notes that children in India are acce...

The Secret to Lifelong Genius: Understanding Fluid vs. Crystallized Intelligence:

The Science of Lifelong Intelligence: Fluid vs. Crystallized The Science of Lifelong Intelligence: Fluid vs. Crystallized Why is it that a 20-year-old can master a new app in minutes, yet a 60-year-old is often the one you turn to for a complex business strategy or a nuanced historical perspective? The answer lies in a foundational psychological theory proposed by Raymond Cattell in the 1960s (Cattell, 1963). He discovered that human intelligence isn't just one single "score"; rather, it is divided into two distinct systems: Fluid Intelligence (Gf) and Crystallized Intelligence (Gc) (Cattell, 1971). 1. Fluid Intelligence (Gf): The "Engine" Think of Fluid Intelligence as your brain's raw processing power. It is the capacity to think logically and solve problems in entirely novel situations, independent of what you’ve learned in school (Simply Psychology, 2024). The Mecha...
