The adaptable and most feasible environment also to be highly considered apart from mere schooling. Realising this fact, homeschooling is one of the most significant platforms to be able to engage the children.

Homeschooling is completely an independent platform for knowledge acquisition as believed by some of the thinkers. Moreover in homeschooling, full autonomy in terms of education to the children is based-on choice and aspiration of the parents. This short write up would bring some positive insights for the parents to realize about homeschooling.

Home schooling has many advantages for both children and parents.

We have discussed in two parts:

a)     Homeschooling- Advantages for Children
b)    Homeschooling- Advantages for Parents

a) Homeschooling- Advantages for Children-

1. Feasible in academic strengths:
As we know all children are distinct and have individual differences, thus the formal schooling can't focus on each and every child at the same time because differences demand different varieties of scope and environment. Realising this fact, the homeschooling has more specific in terms of dealing with the children compared to formal schooling and thus it is inevitable that the children would get more need-based care and environment during homeschooling.

2. Effective learning environment:
Home schooling is all about freedom and autonomy for both children and parents. So, parents are free to choose need-based curriculum for their children and it is really most essential part to make children learn effectively. Parents might choose most feasible approaches to initiate different learning domains, for example, enquiry based learning, contextual based learning etc. and these are most effective approaches to be done when children are handled individually. Moreover, these approaches will boost child's critical thinking skills too.

3. Unique environment:
Everybody knows that there are vast differences between school and home. Children are never able to have more interesting and fun playing than they have at home, as the child is able to be at his natural flow. In fact, children might favour most about their home equipment and have fun more than any other else outside. It is a good advantage for children as they learn better by play mode.

4. Life skills education:
The most important part of homeschooling is life skills education. Children learn better about life skills than school because they always remain close to their parents. They (children) are also more familiar with what parents does at home than teachers in the schools. So, facilitating children handwashing, fruit skin peeling, washing essential utensils, and arranging home etc. through hands-on activities would make children learn about life skills at the home environment. And also additionally parents can become good role models so that children can imbibe those qualities from parents, and become good humans.

5. Effective physical and socio-emotional care:
Parents know better about their children than teachers. Need-based care in terms of physical well-being and socio-emotional well-being can be taken care more effectively in the home context.

b) Homeschooling- Advantages for parents-

1. Mastering and grasping skills:
Experiences are a very essential part in terms of knowing and mastering over something. Continuously dealing with the children would gradually enhance the skills of parents, in terms of knowing different developmental domains. And also it makes parents able to treat their children effectively regards to physical, and socio-emotional needs. It’s a total benefit for enhancing overall parenting skills.

2. Sharpening skills:

The home schooling is another significant platform for parents to enhance the existing knowledge and skills on subjects too, such as maths, language and science.
Finally home schooling is easy and fun when the things are taken passionately, and the program is organised on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Education system in Greece and Rome in ancient times: (In Urdu)-

Discipline rooted in connection builds emotional safety and also encourages internal motivation:

 - *“Discipline isn’t about control. It’s about connection.”* _This powerful statement shifts the traditional perspective of discipline from authority-based control to relationship-based guidance. True discipline is not about instilling fear or asserting dominance, it’s about helping someone grow by building trust, understanding, and connection._ 🧠 What It Means: • Control-based discipline says: “Do what I say, or face punishment.” • Connection-based discipline says: “I understand what you’re going through. Let’s learn from this together.” The goal is not to force obedience but to nurture self-discipline, empathy, and responsibility. 🌱 *_Example 1: A School Principal & a Misbehaving Student*_ • Control Approach: The principal suspends the student without asking why he was misbehaving. • Connection Approach: The principal calls the student in, sits beside him, and says, “You’re usually respectful. What happened today? Is something bothering you?” 🔁 *Outcome:* ...
