- This COVID19 situation was very challenging for the entire economy be it, industry, health, education, transport etc. Among strongly impacted sectors, education is the one. In the education sector, the most impacted is the Preprimary and Primary grades.
In India, the respective states have taken up the responsibility for opening up the day to day activities of their states. When it comes to education the Karnataka Government has been very strict in terms of school reopening and online teaching, particularly for Preprimary and Primary grades.
The education cannot exist alone, without Health, Care and Nutrition. The Karnataka government has consulted few experts and organisations like NIMHANS to take the decision regarding the engagement of children in an online platform. And also the Karnataka education department has done a survey of all the stakeholders in all its districts.
The government has taken suggestions from parents of all the districts. As per news report published on 22nd June 2020, 80% of parents are not ready to send their children to school until Dasara this year. The parents who have suggested for early school reopening are those parents who are working from home, and who feel that managing children is difficult during working hours.
